Book series “Epoch Defining Essays”

Task: to come up with and layout a book that will become the beginning of a series of budget pocket books.

This series of books combines letters, essays and articles. They were written by great people from the fields of culture, art and design in the 20th century. Each book is dedicated to one person and one idea that he promoted through his activities.

The first book is about Kazemir Malevich and his idea of the zero form - the black square. For the book, articles were taken from the newspaper “Anarchy”. At the same time, my goal as an editor was not to make a collection of all articles arranged chronologically. And the selection of specific texts that will reveal the process of idea formation from beginning to end.

The second book is dedicated to Walter Gropius and the Bauhaus. The third book is to Wassily Kandinsky and abstract art.
